They are steel frame so they are not super light, but 4lbs is not heavy by any stretch and they are way less bulky then the typical folding chair you see everywhere. Love this chair! Perfect on multiple fronts. There is a lot to like about this camping chair. First, it is very compact. It is amazing how much they fit into the small carrying bag. The bag is great to carry. It has an adjustable strap to make it easy to hang over your shoulder.
