Nicest umbrella stand I’ve ever owned This is very nicely engineered and built. I don’t know if the letter from the “inventor” in the packaging is real, but I’d be proud of this if I’d invented it. The stand is made from a very high quality molded plastic, and when filled with the suggested 12 bricks and sand, it’s extremely sturdy (and heavy), but moves easily on it’s wheels. It even includes a number of inserts for different diameter umbrella poles.You probably don’t want to think about assembling this…
The Best Umbrella Stand Hands-Down I was not keen on spending so much for an umbrella base, especially after having wasted $40 on a different base that turned out to be woefully inadequate. I’m so glad I took the plunge, though. As other reviewers have noted, this base is very sturdy, very well made, and utterly gorgeous.
