Lifting pole is a joke… Very impressed with the quality of the cover! I think it will definitely offer the protection Iâm looking for! The one item that falls short is the strength of the 2 thin collets used to join the 3 sections of the lift pole. One collet splitout on me the first time I lifted the cover. The pole sections themselves are fine, they just need heavy weight pvc connectors like you would get in the plumbing section of Loweâs or a Home Depot. I just received this yesterday so can’t speak to the long term quality of this though it has a feel, the stitching appearance, and a quality type of material you’d expect for something that claims to be heavy duty. Where this unit fails is in ergonomics of install and removal. The three piece pole they include isn’t going to work for anyone who isn’t 8 feet tall considering the size umbrella this is intended for and it’s resultant height.
