Looks great but rusts like crazy! This pergola looks great but the problem is rust. I live in South Florida miles from the ocean so salt water is not the issue, it’s rain. I painted all posts inside and out with rustoleum before assembly and used silicone in all bolts and openings. The biggest problem area is the top trim moulding at each post, it acts like a cup and when it rains it fills with water and does not drain. Water and metal = RUST. I had not painted it because i thought there would be weep holes but the water just…
I love it now that it’s put together I love it now that it’s put together … but be warned THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE HORRIBLE. It literally took me about 5 hrs. Once I got started, I basically had. O choice but to finish despite my frustration because the weather was threatening rain. That said, the final product is beautiful. My only other complaint is that one of the legs wouldn’t go all the way up into the corner joint like it should have, sonthe screws couldn’t be put in there. (Yes, I did it right). But it’s stable because the…
