Make sure your umbrella is 8 ribs/8 panels, each ribs length must measure 52″ to 54″. The diameter of the hole at the very top is about 1/2 inch.
These are GREAT, well made canopy replacements!! We were so pleased to find replacement canopies for our five patio umbrellas, especially ones as well made as these. Not only is the color perfect, but the seams are tight and well stitched, the grommet is reinforced and placed on double fabric, and the pocket for the rib is doubled for strength. Robust materials, Well made I have a very well made 9 foot, eight vane umbrella. The canopy gave out. I ordered another model from another retailer. It was 8 foot, six vane and made of thin material. I decided to look for just the canopy replacement and found this. The canopy installs quite easily and is a match for the one it replaced. Like everyone says, the grommet hole at the top is too small allow the screw cap to fit, but I found a hose fitting that screwed into the post, drilled the cap and bolted the cap through…
Solved the grommet issue. Great replacement! This umbrella replacement is well worth the money. As others have stated the grommet hole diameter is very small (About a half inch) My umbrella pole tip was about 1.25 inches (Far larger than the grommet on the new replacement umbrella)To solve this I carefully removed the large grommet from my old worn out umbrella cover and installed it onto the new umbrella. Once the larger 1.25″ grommet was secured/installed around the smaller grommet, I simply cut the smaller grommet out from the…
