It can withstand about 11 mph winds, then I need to take it down. Take down is VERY easy. I leave my chairs and coffee table right where they are. Another piece of junk Very, very satisfied! I use this to provide shade for my toddlers and to protect their toys from the heat and sun. As a physical/visual barrier, it keeps my dogs away from the area as well. (They no longer are pooping RIGHT NEXT to my kids water/sand table and have no interest in the tented area!!)
